I wish someone else I know would see this.

April 28, 2008

I was kind of spent on Saturday and decided to go out to a movie. Since I’ve lived in Madison, I’ve sometimes found myself choosing the theater and then the movie instead of the other way around. Anyway, I saw this movie. The trailer doesn’t really convey everything. It’s one of the oddest films I’ve ever seen. Yet, there’s no one to talk to about it.

Now I owe posts for yesterday and today.

This is a free bus that goes around campus then to student family housing. Note the beer wrap. I’ve been here for months and this still strikes me as unusual. I know that my experience has been limited. But in my experience, all the other campuses with buses cover them in school colors.

Oh, and I cheated. I took this picture last week. Today with the rain/snow, I can’t feel motivated enough to leave my nice warm house.

Shirley Temple

Three of 90 students have seen at least one of her movies.

Perhaps 20 of 90 have heard of her at all.

Teaching a history of images becomes difficult when there is no common ground on anything before 2000.
